Back from Hawaii
Hey everyone. I'm sorry I haven't updated my journal in a while. It has been a busy spring so far and I have been gone on vacation. I was so lucky to get to go to Hawaii for a week and soak up some fun in the sun. Both of my Grandmother's and I flew to Maui and just relaxed on the beach and shopped. I saved my graduation money and decided to spend it on this trip so thanks to everyone that sent me money for graduation. In my opinion it was money well spent. I know most people graduating high school probably don't take a senior trip with their grandmother's. I love my grandmothers and they are both so different but yet they balance each other out and they are a ton of fun. They really made this trip a lot of fun and spoiled me. It was great and I love them both dearly.

Getting away for a week was also great for me to get re-energized for 2005 and ramp up my music career even more. My goal is to write a lot of new music this year and record another album in early 2006. I am so proud of my 1st album but I have really grown as an artist since then and have realized that my Memphis Roots are really strong in regards to my music. I love Memphis and the fact that it is the birthplace of the Blues, Rock & Roll and strongholds for Soul and Country. I really believe my next album will reflect much deeper feelings and emotions and bring out that Memphis sound that I love, even more. I feel so lucky to be born in Memphis and to be a musician from Memphis. I don't want to leave Memphis to make it in the music industry like many musicians have had to do. Memphis music is going to come back big over the next few years and I want to be a part of that.

Enough about music. Spring is here and the sun is out and I can't wait to hang out with my friends when school lets out for the summer. It is going to be a great summer I think. I look forward to seeing some of the friends we made last year too while we were traveling to Florida, Oklahoma and Virginia as we travel back to play some of the same festivals we played last year. A lot of my friends are headed to the prom tonight. They are coming over to my house today to let my mom do their hair. They are going to be Hot! My mom has become quite the hair dresser and makeup artist in dealing with this music business career of mine. I love living in Collierville and the CHS prom is always a lot of fun. By the way...CHS beat Germantown in baseball last night. Way to go Dragons.

Well, I hope everyone is having a great spring and I look forward to 2005 be the best year ever. Can't wait to see ya around Memphis and on the road. I feel so lucky to have such great family, friends and fans. Thank you so much for always being there for me and I want to always be there for you too.
