Happy New Year!!!
I am so excited about 2005 and I hope you are too. I will actually graduate from High School on January 28th...Yeah! I can't believe I will actually be finished with High School. I can remember when I first moved to Collierville in the 1st grade and it seems like yesterday. Speaking of 1st grade, I was able to hook up this past week with a friend of mine that I haven't seen in years and we met when we were in the 1st grade. It was great to see her and her parents.

I got to spend a lot of time over the holidays with my brother and my cousins. I feel so blessed to have such a close, fun family. Dustin, my brother, took me to see Napolean Dynamite when it 1st came out and I make lame attempts to imitate parts of the movie so one of my band members bought me the Napolean DVD for Christmas. That was "Sweet", if you know what I mean.

I'm excited about performing this Thurs at the High Tone Cafe as a part of this Battle of the Bands competition. We have never done that as a band and won't make a habit of it but since this is a world wide competition and we weren't booked for that date we decided to go for it. Please come out to the show (you have to 18 to get in) because they vote for bands by a raise of hands.

We are playing Isaac Hayes again on the 29th too, which is a Saturday night, so please plan on coming out for the show. We haven't played in Memphis since Nov 16th so we are anxious to see everyone. Put it on your calendar. We will be playing some new music that night as well.

You may have noticed that we are now selling the new "Memphis Meets the Beatles" CD on my site as well. We were lucky enough to be chosen along with 13 other great memphis artists to record one of the Beatles songs. We were actually the last song added to the CD because they didn't have any George Harrison songs and we were able to work one up for them..."Old Brown Shoe". I think the band played it 2 times thru in the studio and I sang it 4 or 5 times and they called it a wrap. I really like it because it is a raw, edgy recording that is simple without any background vocals or filler music...Just the guys and me playing it like we would on stage. Check it out.

Did you guys feel as bad as I did about the people in Asia that were hit by the Tsunami? I couldn't believe how bad that was. My pastor actually went over there last week and he brought back pictures and it was horrible to see how bad it was. Please pray for those people over there and donate if you can.

I better go. Hope to see many of you Thurs or on the 29th. Stay in touch.
